Home design trends for spring and summer are going green, exotic and glamorous. According to Debbie Zimmer, paint and color expert with The Rohm and Haas Paint Quality Institute, the new color palettes are influenced by "consumers' growing confidence in individual self-expression, glamorous living experiences and an increasing awareness of important environmental causes." Other experts suggest global awareness and worldwide travel affect what consumers want to see in their homes.
