QLD:Bligh may call Qld poll soon: analyst

BRISBANE, Jan 12 AAP - Queensland Premier Anna Bligh should quickly call an election
and dig in for a long campaign, a political analyst says.

Professor Scott Prasser says Ms Bligh could choose to capitalise on this week's flood
anniversary, which had reminded voters of the good job she did during the crisis a year
ago.

"This might be a good time to say OK, let's clear the decks, end all the speculation
and let's announce an election," the professor of public policy at the Australian Catholic
University told ABC radio.
